Bali Bird Park plays a key role in protecting and conserving Indonesia’s endangered wildlife.
We have successfully bred many species, including the rare Pesquet’s Parrot and numerous Bali Starlings, bred mainly to support local release programs. We accommodate more than 40 species of protected Indonesian birds in the park, a growing number of which are now breeding successfully under the care of our staff.
Initiated in 1997 and set within the misty hinterlands of Ubud, the Mason Elephant Park was created in response to the devastating situation in Sumatra where rampant deforestation and poaching have dwindled the native elephant population. Our multi-award-winning park is Bali’s only dedicated elephant rescue facility and is home to Bali’s largest herd of critically endangered Sumatran elephants, 6 of which were naturally born here. The park provides guests with the rare opportunity to learn and interact with these gentle giants while giving the healthy herd a comfortable and safe environment to call home.
Celuk Village in Gianyar, Bali, has been known for its gold and silver jewelry craftsmanship for a century. The village’s goldsmiths and silversmiths have been passing down their expertise to their descendants until today. The story of Celuk Village is documented in a book titled Jewelry of Bali. Made Megayasa, head of the Celuk Design Center (CDC), told tempo.co on Monday that the book “documents our activities to motivate the younger generation to preserve the craft.”
Wood Carving is a form of woodworking by means of a cutting tool (knife) in one hand or a chisel by two hands or with one hand on a chisel and one hand on a mallet, resulting in a wooden figure or figurine, or in the sculptural ornamentation of a wooden object.
People in Ubud use many kinds of eggs to be painted. They use chicken egg, Bebek Bali egg (or Balinese Duck egg), goose egg, cassowary egg and ostrich egg. Duck egg painting size used is approximately 4.5 cm until 5 cm. Goose egg painting use Javanese goose and swan eggs. Goose eggs are supplied from Java due to its difficult to find it in Bali. It size is approximately 10 cm.
Batik is an illustrated Indonesian cloth which is made specifically by writing or applying wax to the cloth, then processing it in a certain way which has a unique characteristic.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall referred to by locals as Air Terjun Kanto Lampo. This is a hidden gem in Bali where you can soak in the pristine water, and take pictures on the insta-famous rock.
Hidden deep in the jungles of Gianyar region, Kanto Lampo Waterfall can be a great sight for exploration. This scenic, seasonal waterfall with its water cascading down a stepped rick formation is a stunning view to behold. Located in the village of Beng Gianyar, this waterfall is also very easy to get to. Unlike other waterfalls, you don’t have to go through miles and miles of hiking and trekking.
Within 15 minutes, you will reach the spot of the waterfall. The slightly under the radar location of Kanto Lampo adds to its uniqueness.
